What does it mean to be "simply missional?"

"Simply (or simple)" - This means that there will not be any clutter when it comes to discipleship and outreach. Too many churches are keeping people too busy with church activities. We seek to have a simple process for growing (discipleship) and serving (outreach) in faith so that our community is positively influenced and impacted.

"Missional" - We seek to recapture and reimagine what it means to be the "sent" people of God (John 20:21). We believe that God's people ought to live as missionaries in the arenas of life where God has already placed them. Because God is a missionary God, the church is the very instrument of God's mission. This means that every disciple is an agent of God's mission in the world. Someone once wrote:

God the Father is the initiator of mission.

Jesus Christ is the embodiment of that mission.

The Holy Spirit is the power of that mission.

The local church is the instrument of that mission.

The culture is the context in which that mission occurs.
